Day Three of Janathon, and a non running day, after a few lazy months my mileage has stepped up a bit and the old joints are aching, so discretion deemed the better part of valor today.
But to complete my Janathon challenge, I tried a new app called SEVEN, which is 12 exercises, 30 seconds each with a 10 second rest between each… totaling Seven Minutes (i hope… maths hurts my brain).
It’s won plenty of awards and been in the papers in the US etc, and the basic version is free, so I thought it would be a good to use in hotel rooms later in the month.
Anyway..it’s fricken hard, the planks, press ups, lunges…. all destroyed me, I am weak and not very flexible.. so lots of work to do, including digging out a yoga app, I used to do a bit of Yoga when we lived in Cape Town, to improve my surfing, so I think it time to revisit the benefits.
Other than that, a pretty chilled day, walked the dogs, did the weekly food shop…with lots of health swap outss…sweet potatoes, kale etc and ready for work tomorrow….
…well when I say ready….another couple of weeks of wouldn’t hurt!!
